Vodacom says MTN and Cell C are cheating

Vodacom argues that a spectrum pooling agreement between MTN and Cell C is to blame for its recent drop in South African mobile network performance rankings.

MyBroadband Insights' Q1 2025 Mobile Network Quality Report showed that Cell C overtook Vodacom to become the second-best network in South Africa during the first quarter of the year.

They should pay him R100k. A nice bonus for an idea. And pretty much aligned with what corporates these days pay for an idea in internal competitions.
While Vodacom annoys me, you are right here. That's what he is due. This whole entitlement to millions and billions is just nonsense.

Well since they are trying to be everything under the sun except a mobile network these days. Man how they have fallen from their glory days 93-2014.

FNB exactly the same. Trying to be everything except a bank.

But Vodacom is using Rains spectrum? What is the problem? MTN should then do the same and investigate the legality of that spectrum pooling from Vodacom...

That could be why Vodacoms 5G is so good.

If they had paid that 20 odd years ago, it would be done and dusted.

But they insit on dragging it on, and on, and on ... add ifinitetum ... , and the costs just keep on climbing. The only winners are the lawyers
