Vodacom shares plummet due to slow revenue growth

Vodacom Group Ltd. shares fell the most in almost eight months after the wireless carrier with the most South African customers reported slower revenue growth in its domestic market, as a sluggish economy hurt consumer spending.

South African first-half sales rose by 4.3 percent, compared with 7.7 percent last year. Overall earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization increased by 4.7 percent, while the interim dividend was increased to 3.95 rand a share from 3.90 rand.

Really? I thought they would be making enough money from their insanely over-priced data costs.

It is because they are involved in BEE transactions. Investors will punish them for this stupid decision.
