Vodacom Sim swap in different country - sim lost

I bought a prepaid sim to use at the airport.

Somehow on my way to the hotel I lost my vodacom contract sim - PS this sim was activated for international roaming.

Is there a way to get a sim swap done on vodacom, if you not in SA?

I would call them
or PM the VC reps here, until they respond. get them to place a block on the sim for now(IE a customer requested suspension for that sim). No one can use the sim...,Then solve the sim swap when back on SA soil.

in 11hours on HSDPA can be bad

just image the pain that can be inflicted on LTE over that time. And it will all be billed as OOB, coz the sim is in a foreign country. AND it will not be the R2 shark.

@anyone else... Do you know the VC roaming rates?

And OP there have been threads of R200k+ roaming bills, and that for a few GBs, coz roaming is billed by the MB

Luckily i blocked it, Seems like there is no way to do a sim swap if you not in SA

Good to read :)
and no. VC/MTN/..... all connect via other networks outside SA, so they will not have physical shops/branches in that country...
