Don't see it - I mean the upfront payment... I see the P7 is R199 on flexi 200 at cellucity, so maybe thats also an option.

If you doing a upgrade then just check with them if that deal is available for upgrades. Sometimes these deals are only for new lines.

Why is the cash price lower than the monthly prices if multiplied by 24?

Same reason as to why you pay more per month if you take something on account with monthly installments I suppose.

So they charge interest?

I dont know.

But I suppose it is to be expected. Yow are paying off a amount owed over 24 months. Interest or a higher end total is normal for anything you pay off over a period of time.

If they still have stock of the P7. We cant order it anymore. The P8 Lite is nicely spec'd for the price. I would not mind one of them ;)

P8 Lite looks like a good deal. My sister wants the P8 (std) because of the metal body.

Yeh - I'm happy with anything really - so at the moment its between the P7 and the P8 Lite.

P7 has Kitkat and the P8 Lite (I think) might have Lollipop like the P8 (Std).

@Ockie, can a no-phone contract be renewed (with phone) before the "normal" renewal date?

The normal upgrade business rules will apply to no phone deals. You might qualify for a prem upgrade if you are far long enough in your contract and your average spend is R800.00 per month or more on that line.

My sister is getting the P8 and I also wanted to upgrade to get one too. But I don't meet those requirement. Ah well, might get a new contract - the P8 is just too hard to pass up.

Can someone give those guys at Vodacom that set up deals and contract a kick up their backsides. My contract up for renewal in the next few months. I would really love to get the Asus Zenfone 2 on contract but the South African mobile oprators stuck on half dead brands like Blackberry and Nokia.

I would not mind seeing those brands being carried by Vodacom, but the demand just aint really there. I think the majority of customers are very brand conscious. If it aint a Apple or a Samsung or a Sony, they dont want it. It is only recently that the Huawei models really started picking up nicely. Vodacom stopped doing Motorola also, because the demand just was not there. It is not worth wasting space and keeping Millions of rands worth of stock for a brand that does not move.
