Whats happening with the Huawei P10? I only see the P10 Lite listed. It also seems to have disappeared from the Vodacom website, although I think it was only up for pre-order previously.

Its nearly a year old, and a new phone will be coming out in a couple months. Seems strange that the handset financing increases now.

Haha, sorry Ockie. Just excited. I've been envisioning a Sony-less upgrade which made me a sad sad sad Panda.

Also my sister's G4 (still responsible for the family upgrades) has done a Samsung and basically given up all telephony and even multimedia services in favour of being an under-sized website viewer exclusively. And the old S3 Mini she was using has been thrashed to within an inch or two of it's life so she needs to upgrade rather urgently.

So I am much more excited for this update than any previous month.

My wife currently has a top up SIMless contract, can she upgrade at any time before the contract expires seeing as there is no device linked to the contract to "pay-off"?
(ie. can she upgrade in say month 20 of a 24 month contract? instead of having to wait until the official upgrade date of month 22.)

my bad a Device-less contract

Basicall her phone at the time was suffice and the contract gave her 2gb of data for like R100 a month.
Now that she lives with me, data is of no concern anymore and a new phone is needed as the old one is showing it's age.

No, no device deals adhere to the same contract terms and upgrade dates. No device deals will normally pass on a different benefit in place of the device, be it double the bundles or reduced subscription, and therefore the normal 24 month contract T&C's applies. You can upgrade 3 months before the contract term date though still, as is the norm with all contracts.

I'm pretty sure she can, go to http://www.vodacom.co.za/vodacom/shopping/devices and type your number and tell you when you qualify for upgrade, alternative download the My Vodacom app and set it up , once set-up you will be able to check the upgrade date.
