Eish ok.

Not that I'd be interested in business, but what's the difference between these 2 deals? (lines 213 and 219 of the supp deals xls)

SAMSUNG I9100 GALAXY S2 + 100 MB DATA FOR 3 MONTHS @ R94 PER MONTH + SUBSCRIPTION ON BUSINESS (per minute billing)
SAMSUNG I9100 GALAXY S2 + 100 MB DATA FOR 3 MONTHS @ R144 PER MONTH + SUBSCRIPTION ON BUSINESS (per minute billing)

Thats odd. I will investigate and come back to you.

I think I have seen the problem. The one is supposed to be per minute billing and the other per second.

SAMSUNG I9100 GALAXY S2 + 100 MB DATA FOR 3 MONTHS @ R94 PER MONTH + SUBSCRIPTION ON BUSINESS (per minute billing)
SAMSUNG I9100 GALAXY S2 @ R154 PER MONTH + SUBSCRIPTION ON BUSINESS (per second billing)

CRAP...now there is another discrepency. Ill go for a smoke....and then come back to it. *sigh*

Ok....the per second deal I posted is the one that is loaded on the system..so that is the correct one. Must have been a error on the sheet.

Hmmm...
OC i'm not very clued up on cellular deals as I have always exclusively bought my phones cash...
But now I will need a contract. (Work Purposes).
A BB 9300 would satifiy my email requirements, but the HTC Sensation is the phone i'm after.
Could you break down a deal for me? Or help with understanding the different contract options?

Hello Danny. I will PM you my office number. Give me a shout when you have some time and I will talk you through it.

I leave the office @ 4 so if it could please be before then.

OC, when will there be a new full deal sheet? Would like to get an S2 on a talk 120 or so.

Looking at current SGS pricing that's not gonna be viable for a loooong loooong time. At least if you're talking about getting the SGS2 with little to no pay-in or extra charges.

Yeah I know it's pricy and definitely not going to be free. Was just hoping it would drop a bit as between this month and last month it dropped R50pm on business so don't see why it shouldn't drop by at least that on a more expensive contract. Add a bit of data and a few sms's and you've at R600pm+.

It's technically not a more expensive contract since it includes the 120 free minutes whereas Business doesn't include anything.

I mean one would think the same looking at the offpeak 120 and Talk75, the Talk75 costs more and has less minutes so why is stuff free on the offpeak and then has a pay-in on the Talk75? Well that's cuz they reckon you'll make up the discount they give you on the offpeak 120 by wracking up out of contract charges (which can be twice as expensive as on other contracts) to make up for it.

Need some help guys please. Nocturne (aka Hubby) & I are due for upgrades. He seems to have made up his mind on what to get, but I'm at that point where I just want to hit my head on the keyboard & I know that it's going to hurt, but I don't care :p

I'm torn between the following phones (which is the only ones available in my budget right now):
HTC Wildfire S / Motorola Defy / Samsung Galaxy Ace

I use my phone for the normal (calls & sms'), but use it a lot for Facebook, E-mail & Twitter. I also like to take some photos too. Also bear in mind this will be my first Android phone (I have a Samsung Star now).

Help please!!! Any advise?

The Defy and Ace have the better screens compared to the Wildfire Ace. The Defy again has a better battery than the Ace. The Ace again comes with 2.2 out of the box while the Defy comes with 2.1 but is upgradable to 2.2.

My personal choice would be the Defy.

Ok, another question....Where do I find (Vodacom) stock of the Defy?! I phoned two Vodashops around here now & they don't have stock. :wtf:

Here goes my search again! (This also happened when I wanted my Star two years ago)

The stores that we own also dont order the Motorola phones to have in stock as they do with the other more popular brands. We dont want to order a phone which we dont know will move quickly. We however WILL order it for you should you ask us to and tell us you definately will take the phone.

Motorola unfortunately is a brand of which many people are still skeptical.

Why not go for the samsung galaxy s (not the sgs2) which is far better than those on your shortlist. I got mine on cell casual chat 100 @ R145 through makro where you get R 500 voucher. Really loving this phone, unbelievable screen.

Eish! Ok.

We decided to phoned the upgrade centre & they said they've got stock (Although Vodashop @ Vodaworld don't), so it'll be delivered Tuesday or Wednesday (or I'll believe it when I see it). *bounce* *bounce* *bounce* :D

Thanks again for all the help!

Go check out the TCP stalling WhatsApp and other push services thread in the Cell C section. Android on Cell C sucks at the moment if you know how push services are actually supposed to work.
