So where can I get one? Actually this reminds me of a question I needed to ask my service provider, Nashuamobile, when the 24 months on our data bundle is up do we get new modems when we sign for another 24 months?
E272 at your SP, profiles will become available when VC launches the services.

5.7Mb/s is the max UPA speed, so it looks like that's what the number refers. The E272 supports 2Mb/s afaik.

That's just a coincidence, the Huawei cards report ^MODE:x,y.
If the values are unfamiliar, mdma will show "Unknown(x,y)".
Values I know are: 5,4 for 3G and 5,5 for HSDPA, and in the next version 5,7 will indicate HSUPA.
My HSUPA Speed on target
My speed results are on target using E272 with Mobile Partner 11.002.03.16.03 Software. I did subscribe to the "Free" 3.6kbps and renewed it when the R49 became payable.
My Speed results:
3100 kbps (387.5 KB/s Transfer Rate)
1145 kbps (143.1 KB/s Transfer Rate)
Ping: 114 Ms

Profile updated. It is strange that I'm getting a decent speed. The Vodafone software shows a solid green block which is GPRS and I am on the edge of the signal area on the coverage map. It's probably because I'm up on the 9th floor
You're on HSDPA
Green = GRPS / EDGE
Blue = 3G
Cyan [Blue/Green] = HSDPA
