Vodacom currently have reasonable tariffs in the mobile broadband arena, but as the headline on MyADSL says today, VodaFone Ireland will introduce a HSPDA flat rate service, Vodacom being part of the VodaFone group and continuely wanting to stay a leader would look at these models and introduce similar products? 11Mbps is in line within months, says VodaFone ireland.

Vodacom have been able to stay ahead with technology, offers and prices for some time now, Vodacom will most probably continue this trend?

The main hindrance to getting a similar offering in SA is in my humble opinion Telkom's stranglehold on international bandwidth on the SAT3 cables and the like.

All ISP's have to pay Telkom to carry traffic.

The lowest price telecoms providers can charge is ruled by Telkom.
