Vodacom vs MTN vs Cell C vs Telkom – South African subscriber numbers

People can say what they like about Vodacom but of all the networks they're head and shoulders above the rest. I'm willing to pay that small premium for the service alone.

Sorry disagree, you cannot for one minute tell or convince me that VC has good service.
Service in terms of call centre? Maybe
But dropped calls, slow speeds, bad quality voice.....the list goes on and on and on.
Yeah Cell C may not be perfect or Telkom either but at least you not being charged up the rear end for it

i have absolutely no issues with vodacom like you mentioned at all, ever.

Yes actually. I was on red premium spending about 2k a month for I think 2 gigs....maybe 1 ......1000 minutes I think.

I'm now spending R999 getting 5000 min......10 gigs.....5000 SMS and oob is 15 cents per meg.

So actually I am getting many times more for half the price.

And hardly any dropped calls anymore

So by those numbers we have 80 million cell phone users in SA. More than the actual population by a long shot.

Huh? I just posted the facts.
Been with VC since 1995.
I know what the differences are
And it is close to 2k because I ran out of data every single month and went oob because their stupid system doesn't notify you.
I even have it in writing from the ceos office confirming it was their side. Problem on their side.
So maybe I didn't explain in full.
Now I'm spending half and getting 5 times more data.
5 times more airtime

Well, you should have done your homework because 2K would get you unlimited calls and sms' as well as 5GB data. For R100 more you'd get 10GB data... How's that? Double the money for unlimited calls and sms'...

Anyway, you jumped straight to the most extreme example you could find.

MTN is cheating us really. If you buy data bundles for a day they expire at midnight nomatter u bought them an hour or a few minutes before. As far as I know a day is 24hrs long.So how long is MTN's day?

Marine and VC had a long but ultimately unhappy marriage. Marine persisted in trying to save it with the help of marriage counselor Ockie, despite our advice to rather seperate. They are now divorced, thank god!

Thank god indeed.

And now FOR R999 as I stated previously I think more than once, I get
basically unlimited calls, 5000 min
10 gig data, and OOB of 15 cent per meg
5000 minutes
So I see your 2k and I come in at 999

So I clearly did do my homework
