Vodacom: we want to be the very best in SA

Yes well..

Your strategic objective is all well and good... won't do you much good when you're the most expensive and you shed customers at a massive rate of knots.

Vodacom: we want to be the very best in SA
If that is a really honest ambition. I am afraid you have a long road to travel. Here is where you can start though:

1) Learn customer relations and how to treat customers equitably and fairly. Also learn how to do billing properly.
2) Stop putting greed at the cornerstone of every business decision
3) Stop ripping customers off, especially pre-paid customers
4) Become knowledgeable with respect to the 3GPP standards documents, so that your network actually runs properly
5) Stop exploiting gray areas in the 3GPP standards for profit.

If you can get this right, especially point 4 and 5 which will lead to less customer issues and dropped calls, you might just be worthy of that title.

Competitive advantages ...

Copetitive advantages:
* Cost
* Quality
* Speed of delivery
I think they're saying they're going for everything except not really cost. Let's see how it works out.

All I want is lower data prices. I haven't used Vodacom for data for more than 6 months now and I was spending a lot of money on data every month when I was using them.

I Could not help it

So they're admitting to not being the best? After being handed market exclusivity on a silver platter?

6. Stop offering 17 million different contracts, with none of them having a decent balance of data and talk time. Give the customer more choice and flexibility as to what they want.

Well Vodacom data is a joke to be honest.... No 3G coverage at my home at all. The whole neigbourhood falls out of the 3G coverage. You can see it nice a clearly... Only 2G coverage available....

Now I logged a network fault with vodacom and he phoned me back now saying sorry no planned upgrade or anything. It will most likely stay like that for some time....

Wow I had to phone to stop my port to vodacom lucky I tested a sim before poring my number or I would have been stuck with them for 60days......

Cellc got coverage and I have contracts with them but if you get 0.4Mbps download its not worth it....

That leaves me with Telkom Mobile with full HSPA+ access and speeds of over 10Mbps or MTN with 2 bars of MTN LTE and speeds of 10Mbps on the weak LTE signal....

Limited choices... Telkom Mobile means I will be making A LOT of off net calls.... That can eat your airtime. MTN means I need to get a top up contract atleast to utilise the LTE service.... 3G and EDGE speed on MTN is also not that great here.
