Good job, Vodacom. Now, can I sue Nkosana Makate for inventing it, 'cause it's the most annoying things on the planet earch (except for the ANC).

No, the ruling would imply that you cannot sue him. You have to go for Vodacom.

This guy didn't invent anything. "Please call me" is just an application of 2 existing technologies. It's not like he created something revolutionary from scratch. Now if he actually created the USSD or SMS protocols himself that might be a different story.

It was a good idea, but it's usage turned it into a bad idea.

Even if it was his idea, sucks that he didn't get anything for it.

Greedy attorneys trying to make money by taking a percentage of settlements they get. Just trying their luck.

That did not go to plan...he tried to make a quick buck...are now stuck with a pretty hefty legal bill.

He should keep the Vaseline close by.

This outcome is sad. The idea made VC, MTN, ETC billions. The one that came up with it got zero.

With the amount VC lawyers cost he will be in big poooo and should appeal the decision if there is any merit in his case

He will just have to cough up money and get a taxation to look at the paperwork... Fork it is going to hurt him.

The attorney he appointed was clever if he won the case he would automatically be entitled to 25 % forgot the rates :(
