Vodacom has recently inked a deal to buy a 30% stake in Community Investment Ventures Holdings (CIVH), which owns Vumatel and DFA.

Now I think I get this deal Vumatel, DFA and Vodacom Fibre will merge and become single company
DFA will continue to provider backhaul infrastructure
Vumatel will continue to roll out FTTH/B
Vodacom will focus more on 4G&5G roll out

Good news here is Vodacom FTTH/B is available in certain small towns especially Northern Provinces if Vumatel least target one neighborhood per small town this could allow them to go nearly toe to toe with Herotel
