also what will need to make this work with my desktop pc

Not sure what it's worth but you'd need a PCMCIA to PCI converter, roughly R200 to R300 I think, to connect it to your desktop.

I think your prices are too high!

On bid or buy they are going for about R1000 and on www.expansys.co.za it goes for less delivered to your door.
