Vodafone denied access to court in Vodacom-Makate battle

Vodafone has been denied access to the court in Vodacom's continued legal battle against Please Call Me idea-man Kenneth Nkosana Makate.

Sunday Times reports that the Constitutional Court found the UK-based telecoms company, which owns over 60% of Vodacom, had not made a case to be admitted in the matter amicus curiae — a "friend of the court".

Just pay the man, Vodacom is starting to look like a bunch of clowns now, Makate is embarrassing them, Time to pay him and put all of this to rest.

He is owed every cent whether anyone likes it or not, Those are facts!

Yawn. How much longer is this going to drag on.

Vodacom is going to drag this for as long as possible - they're not going to pay billions.

The guy has pinned his hopes for the next 3 generations on this coming right. Even if he does get anything significant, bulk will go to lawyers/loan sharks.

Makate was a fool for not simply taking the R47 million Vodacom offered him. He could have been set up for life. Instead he had to be so selfish and greedy and he will probably die before he sees a cent of that money no matter what the courts have ruled. What exactly would he even do with billions? Perhaps he does not understand the concept of the number zero?

By the time Vodacom pay his great-grandchildren, if they still exist, R20 billion may buy one loaf of bread.
