Hi

Please help me! (as Vodacom customer services are non/existent!)

Having had my Vodafone Mobile Connect Card since July, on their 3G ONE package, my bill has been increasing rapidly / last month a staggering ZAR3800 !

I have noticed that even when not connected, the usage appears to increase!

Am I doing something wrong or perhaps incorrectly set-up the software incorrectly? I spend no more than 3 hours a day on the internet and rarely download files.

I have installed the DU Meter and that records on average only 20% of the approximated usage shown on the vodafone dashboard.

I have run virus / trojan / adware/ registery checks and nothing wrong is reported.

Since July billing from Vodacom in excess of my monthly agreed contract rate has exceeded ZAR11,000 !!!!!

Can anyone please help me?

Thanks, Dags

Dags, PM me and let's see if we can meet up to have a look at your system.

DUMeter and VMC uses the same Windows hooks to get their data, so they should be in sync with each other, so somethings not cool. Unless DUmeter is also counting other interfaces on your system. Still does not explain you bill increase.

I'm in the Northern subs, let's try and meet up. Rather leave your system off till then. I've got a few ideas what might be wrong.

Care to post some of those ideas for general reference ?

I feel i am plowing through quite a bit of bandwidth. Recently installed DU Meter so i would like to do more measurement before shouting the odds :D

Step 1: install Netlimiter and look at what apps are actually chowing data. I don't have an answer for when a machine is supposedly switched off and still chowing data.
