Vodafone software buggy?

Well, tonight I had a great experience of 3g on an HSDPA card for the first time - it stayed connected for about 6 hours straight, no drops, with performance between 600 and 800 kbps - unreal, really. And then it struck me - I had uninstalled the Vodafone software earlier - could that be what was causing the issues?

Basically, I've installed the software off the CD, created my dial up accounts, then uninstalled vodafone connect (which leaves the drivers and dial up accounts intact) and now dial up through network connections - working wonderfully!

Any body else experienced this?

While its not the greatest software out mine seems trouble free where connection quality is concerned. That said it does seem to do weird things on some setups. My biggest gripe so far is the usage meter. Maybe i`m just lucky.

VMC 7 is much more stable than the previous versions, however it still "buggers" around from time to time. Having a normal dialup configuration is much more stable but you have no control over the network and signal manipulation without VMC.
