Hi Can any help me please??

I bought the Vodafone E220 model off ebay and get the RAS 619 error when trying to connect.

Vodafone say the E220 Model is not compatible with the Acer 3000 series laptop.

I have upgraded the firmware to no avail.

Can anyone help or have I just lost out.

Thanks
Allison

Make sure your SIM Card is Provisioned for Data. Call your service provider and ask them to check for you.

Find it hard to believe.
What is the version of the firmware and the dashboard software that U R using?

Now showing RAS error 0

Hi
I telephoned vodafone UK back who advised that the sim card was not data provisioned.

They have now ensured me that it is... my error message has now changed to RAS 0 error.

Vodafone advised me to contact Acer.

Acer say they are not aware of compatability issue ... but accept if that is what Vodafone say - so be it.

Any ideas??

Thanks
Allison

Just out of curiousity... how are you online right now?

I've got standard broadband as well on my desktop.
The Wifi is definietly turned off on the laptop.
Bought the mobile usb modem for when I am holiday.

Are you using VMC version 9 to connect?

If it's an old laptop you may have USB issues.

See if you can update the laptop's USB driver and make sure you're at least on SP2, if using XP. Sorts many USB problems.

Use the double plug cable that came with the modem. Or maybe an external powered USB hub. Could be that the modem is not getting enough power to run the radio.

The laptop is about 2 years old.
Windows XP with service pack 2.
I have been trying with the short double ended plug and have tried all 3 usb plugs.
2 of which give me RAS error 619
and one RAS error 0
