Vodphone Protect Locked my Note 3

The thing is, I never set this program up.
I never activated it, I never set a pin, I never even knew this piece of **** app was on my phone.

Now its locked my phone, VC cant reset the pin because I never actually activated it.

What do I do now? Reset the device?
VC say I have to take it in to a VC shop, I'm going to take it now, but I dont have much hope they can do anything without resetting it.

I figured it out.

After being told at the VC shop that I will have to pay them R100 to fix it at which point my toys went flying, they agreed to fix it for free. Then they said I was going to lose all my data, again my toys went flying.
I left because I can re flash the damn thing myself, I dont need to sit there for an hour and watch someone else do it.

So after tinkering with kies for a while trying to back it up first (it keeps hanging at email... but whatever) I thought to myself if this was a pc I would boot it into safe mode and kill the app.
So.. I googled ans sure enough, if you start the phone with both volume buttons depressed it boots into safe mode. I then went and removed any and all apps that looked like they could be associated with VC in any way.
Rebooted it again and the problem is solved!

I'm actually surprised that it was so easy in the end. Whats the point of the app if you can just uninstall it via safe mode? The actual device password is the actual security on the device imo. Not this other crap.
