What type of software would I use to speak thru a microphone and that
would enter the text into MS WORD and other apps

Microsoft Speech Recognition, it comes with Office XP and up, click tools in word, then click speech

Dragon Naturally speaking is also a good program, huge, but good

Dragon naturally speaking... never tested this kind of app, but I understand it is quite time consuming to set up the voice recognition engine.

Testing voice to text

This is the original text as typed... below is the dictated version - see what you think. I went through a couple of the training sessions, so as you can see, I'm still a little way off. Also, many words need to be learned - especially the south africanisms.

Let's post one article a day using voice dictation - just for fun - would prob. make more sense than a telkom media release. (dictated below)

HMIS was dictated using Microsoft voice recognition built into Windows XP
