Volkswagen, General Motors, and others pause Twitter advertising

General Mills Inc., said it’s temporarily pausing advertising on Twitter, joining Pfizer Inc., Volkswagen AG’s Audi and other brands rethinking their presence on the platform now that Elon Musk has taken over and is making his mark on the social media company.

“We have paused advertising on Twitter,” said Kelsey Roemhildt, a spokesperson for General Mills. “As always, we will continue to monitor this new direction and evaluate our marketing spend.”

The nice thing is that I dont think Musk would even really care. At the end of the day, companies are shallow and driven primarily by profit. So if you can convert an audience into money, and Twitter has said audience, then eventually these companies will be back at the bowl for dinner.

He does care. Twitter is small fish in marketing game. It needs the advertisers more than they need it.

They aren't leaving because it's a good business decision, they are leaving due to the pressure from the leftist lobby groups. Think of it as a Libtard Tax.

No doubt some companies who are less inclined to be swayed by these Philistines will stay, and a whole lot more, who felt uncomfortable in the previous toxic environment, would join.

If Twitter fails Elon Musk is still going to be a billionaire and +-5,000 (whatever the post-sacking count is) will be unemployed. The point I was trying to make is I dont think he's going to change the principles he's working to just because some companies stop advertising on twitter.
