Only thing left is the S60. S40,S70 and S80 all gone.

What we now have are elongated hatchbacks called the V40 and shortened stationwagons called the V60.

Even the C30 is gone.

Having spent some time in Sweden I'm not surprised. 3/4 of all the cars there are wagons.

Elaborate?

Horrible handling, the thing would under steer and slip out of turns constantly, even at low speeds

The 2.0T engine and especially the automatic gearbox were hopeless, towing even light loads the gearbox wouldn't shift down, and the engine barely had enough torque to maintain highway speeds going up hills

I'm pretty sure trucks have tighter turning circles than the car did

And the trim wore out after 5 years of use

The car used to belong to my grandfather, so I can understand the ware on the trim from getting in and out, but wow, my father has had his E200 close on 10 years now and is still as tidy as the day he picked it up from the dealership

Don't even get me started on the cost of parts, and the temperament of the electrics

The S60 and S80 (outdated) is both in their 2nd generation. The S80 had a recent update and S60 has expanded into variants. The S40 was replaced by the V40 in 2012. The S70 is long gone and was replaced by the S60. The V60 is the 2nd generation S60 estate.

I think we can expect the 3rd generation S80 around the corner... or perhaps like rumoured will be replaced by the S90 and V90 respectively.
