Been on Vox fiber (Openserve) for about a week now. So far, only problem has been the modem they supplied (Microtik). Wireless was not working, only 5ghz channel worked, so switched back to my own modem (Some devices still only use 2.4ghz). 20mb speed all the time. Vox Supaphone call quality is great. Better than my old Telkom line. Local Ping +/- 5ms, to JHB +/- 10ms.

so that is nice, no throttling for 24/7/365? no fair use policy?

I am using a capped line, 500 gig. More than what I require. I have not noticed any throttling as yet, but have been busy at work, so have not been on the net, too much. YouTube streaming no problem on HD1080. DSTV catchup downloads very quick, use to wait for a few seconds (30-45) before, now it starts instantly. Will try and do some downloads tonight.

They have a FUP and it's pretty flexible see attached. Pro packages doesn't have FUP as far as I'm aware.

I've been with them for about 4 months. 100Mb line. Pretty stable both up and down. Have to reboot the modem ever two weeks sometimes more cause connection drops. Their staff is inexperienced, my line was down for 4 days last week and was a simple fix that everyone missed until a senior guy finally picked up on it.

No experience with the supa phone but the Vobi app is complete junk and they market it as this wonderful tool. Drops calls, goes to voicemail, only works when app is active on screen, etc, I landed up going with a third-party app.

Pricing is good,

thanks for the info, I am looking for 50M/50M uncapped, on the website they said that is a fatpipe, but I don't know they are hiding something or not. I don't want FUP and throttling.

I don't want to sign a 24 months contact for throttling. :D

Hey Dreamking, I am also wanting to use vox in order to teach English online at home, i need fast speeds for this and would like to ask if you have signed up and how are you finding it?

Should I also get a capped package instead of a uncapped as ive been reading capped gets higher speeds but i dont know?

can you get one of those fibre phones and use the settings from the vobi app instead of using the vobi app itself

I have a Vox 100/100 and it works well, no problems. VOIP on the Gigaset phone also works well.

I have a capped bundle, so don't know about throtling, etc, mine is fine, and I don't use up the cap.

No complaints.

Our area recently went live ,

We got the 100/25 - I have an open ticket with Vox - last two weeks I have been getting between 20-40 down Local

Not very happy at the moment hopefully they can sort it out soon or I will be changing to cool ideas or crystal web

I was on Cool Ideas and switched to VOX about a week ago, for no particular reason other than I wanted to try a different ISP for a reference point.

Been a mixed bag if I'm being honest but speedtest.net tests to international servers have been consistently pathetic. Fortunately those results don't reflect my real world performance. I've been hounding VOX about the general performance since the accounts inception. I've found them incredibly accommodating and even if they might not be doing anything back office, they certainly been attentive to my complaints.

Overall I'm fairly happy with the performance but I think Cool Ideas offerings are slightly superior.

I find Twitter is the best medium for getting one's voice heard. They almost always respond within 24 hours via Twitter.

Been with Vox since fibre went live here.

First, I had a little issue provisioning the line 'cos it was in the middle of the Vuma, Fibrehoods buyout, but they were diligent sorting it out. Second, I had a billing issue which they sorted out with a refund. Their invoicing system needs some work, but I don't put that on their sales or technical guys and the accounts folk recognised the issue and corrected immediately...
That said, I'm loving the service. Started off on a 50/5 and upgraded to 100/10 at the beginning of September when pricing changed. Speeds are consistent and I've not noticed any throttling whatsoever... I'm running around 1,5Tb per month between three of us... Loads of Netflix streaming and I'm now officially addicted to P2P streaming of all live sports, ever.

In spite of my first two points, Vox gets two thumbs up from me.

Been with Vox for the past three months. Help desk always answered my call within 30 seconds, persons I'm transfered through to answered within 30 seconds (for both calls to the help desk). Have had no problems.
