I have been reading a lot about individuals that took the Vox price for life special deal on DSL some time ago using that same account on newly laid Openserve Fiber (because it also operated on IPC inherently? - i dunno, im no expert in this type of thing at all). When i first realized it was possible i was extremely excited as i didn't really want to let something like that go, but seemed it just one of those things. Paying R159 a month for 300Gb, and still got 2TB in rollover saved up. Been trying to get in touch with the fellas who said they were doing it, but don't want to derail another thread, so thought id make a new post about it.
How would i go about making this happen? I just need the Fiber installed to my house, as OS is active in my complex, but they are providing me zero help when i query them, in turn instructing me constantly to contact my ISP about the issue, saying they wholesale to ISPs and all installation, etc must go through them. Pretty sure if i go and tell Vox i want to keep using my current special DSL data package but on a Fiber line they will say i cant and force me to take a more expensive Fiber one. But there are people saying they are doing it. Any ideas?
