The Golden Lions Rugby Union is pleased to welcome South African telecoms provider, Vox Telecom, on board as an associate sponsor.
While Vox Telecom and the GLRU’s relationship stems back eight years, this extended and revitalised agreement will see the company take up an associate sponsor role with the Union.
The sponsorship sees Vox Telecom obtain branding rights for the remainder of both the Vodacom Super Rugby and Absa Currie Cup competitions. The company’s logo will take up the right-hand chest area on the match jersey.
As an activation to welcome Vox Telecom on board as an associate sponsor, the company’s logo will appear on the front centre of the jersey for this weekend’s Vodacom Super Rugby match between the Lions and Crusaders at Ellis Park. The company will also host a ‘family day’ activation at the stadium.
Clayton Timcke, Head of Marketing at Vox Telecom, expressed his enthusiasm towards the new partnership and is excited to work closely with the GLRU for mutual gain.
“Vox Telecom is proud to be a sponsor of Lions Rugby and we are excited by the opportunity to grow our brand and show our commitment to this young, determined side,” Timcke said.
“Vox Telecom has always aligned itself with like-minded brands and we’re very excited about the future value to both parties. Our brand has always been a proud supporter of the consumer - we champion change and support potential future leaders.
“We’re looking forward to an increased involvement with the GLRU.”
GLRU Chief Executive Officer Manie Booysen expressed his gratitude towards Vox Telecom for their continued support and is looking forward to working together with the company even more closely in the future.
“Up until this point, we have had a healthy relationship with Vox Telecom and it is wonderful to have the company on board in an associate sponsor capacity,” Booysen shared.
“We believe that both our brands will benefit immensely from this partnership and we are grateful for Vox Telecom’s support during such testing economic times.
“We are looking forward to a prosperous relationship with them over the upcoming months.”
