I've been posting about issues with Skype and geographics numbers since 2016.

It's gotten worse, so I have been looking around.

Vox offers a solution through MS Teams, operator connect.
I can port my geographic numbers.
Doesn't seem that straight forward to get it set up.

Voys offer what seems like a simple solution and provide new numbers or port existing ones.

Anyone using either of these two, or experience with both?

Or recommend an alternative solution. I have two geographic numbers, and prefer for these calls to come through to mobile / possibly also to a laptop

Try Freshphone:

I had no problem porting my Telkom geographic landline number to them when I cancelled my Telkom account. They also allow you have to order new 087 and geographic numbers as well.

thanks

I will take a look at this.
I was also looking at Switchtel last night.

I also looked at Switchtel but they charge a monthly fixed fee in addition to the call costs, while Freshphone does not charge any monthly fee.

Quote from Switchtel was R49pm. not much.
then they have a package for R300+ which includes their switchboard option. I signed up so i can try out the basic option so long
