Yeah and if this has been achieved, then we may have received messages from future civilizations. The lack of messages may mean it will never be achievable. The only other explanation is that maybe they don't want to interfere.

That’s the problem.

The way we experience the universe is with a flow of time. Effects happening after events. A photon for example experiences no time. For it it’s life starts and ends at the same time but for us we see the photon travel a distance until it’s absorbed by some material.

In special relativity otherwise simultaneous things aren’t as such as well when in different inertial reference frames.

In order to have any coherent signal we as humans can use, time is pretty fundamental.
