We have a client with three offices in the western cape.

They are currently using Log me in Hamachi to communicate with one another and get remote support from me.

I'm wondering if there would be any advantage is setting up a VPN between the three offices using a method other than VNC and Hamachi?

I'd like to be able to schedule a backup their DATA at the end of each day to a remote off site location (ie our office or their main office) using something like Cobain backup.

What are some of the better ways to go about achieving this?

Thanks.

Hi there

Have you thought about using a wireless VPN?

My company specialises in just that...Basically we connect your client's 3 sites together via our existing wireless network which allows inter-branch routing. You can then backup all your branches to a single server at head office.

The advantage of a wireless VPN is that there is no cap and your client's have unlimited data transfer.

Check out http://www.sonicwireless.co.za/business-services/ or send me a PM for more info

Cool no probs

I'm not sure on your budget but how about 3x Mikrotik RB750's. They are less than R500 each from www.miro.co.za.

Put 1x RB750 at each remote branch and 1x at the headoffice. Once configured, you can have a permanent VPN and the backups can be setup to run automatically.

Your job will be much easier then :p
