I love how this part seems to remain a mystery.

I was wondering about this a little while back, luckily I remembered the password though.

Anybody actually reset their device as yet?

Sometimes a reset doesn't affect the connection at all and only resets the username and password with some wifi configs. Other times it completely removes the internet setting which then takes the line down and requires provisioning again.

I have seen both cases.
 
When the installers(Nanofibre) did mine, they said people resetting the ONT caused them so much frustration previously that they charge a call out fee if they find that's the case. I didn't dig into it too much though
 
Its really is one of the most basic and common procedures carried out on these devices and yet here we are in 2021, where you could potentially get charged for resetting your device and may have to wait 24hrs to have it reconfigured through a logged ticket. Ridiculous.
 
What tool are you guys using to measure the drops. I feel that Vuma Core on Vox is having the same issue

We have checked the details but unable to find any reports regarding an Afrihost issue on our network status page.
Further, the basic troubleshooting are necessary, otherwise the provider will reject the fault.
A fault has been logged with Vuma by my colleague for checking the issue, and it is currently under the investigation.
We will revert back to you as soon as we receive feedback.

There is definitely a communication problem. I've been on WhatsApp for almost 2 hours this morning with an Afrihost support agent and a supervisor - they are not aware of any issues discussed here. I had to point them to this thread, and was asked who AfriNatic was :-(

WTF @AfriNatic is putting out all the fires and taking all the shots from us and these guys don’t even know he exists?
