@AfriNatic , why am i being asked to sign in to connect but when i test and load a website, it loads normally?

At least yours works. I'm being asked to sign in but no throughput, good thing In going out. It's been happening all the time, when the power goes out or if I restart the ONT and I am getting little upset @AfriNatic

In the mains in an on state. Router running off the UPS. When power goes off, my ont and router never goes down. So eg if im away, my cameras are connected. If power goes off for whatever reason, then i dont have to worry

Aha. OK, cool.
Think I'll just stick to having it on the mains in the Off State, till I need to use it.
I've really only got the router that needs power.

Ja, this started happening after loadshedding last night. Annoying. Then it'd load the afrihost fibre activation link, but say no activation needed.

Looks like it's stopped now.

Looks like it's stopped now.

Problem is, that anytime your power goes off unexpectedly, you risk damage through power surges. So i would say best then to get a surge protector.
