Aha. OK, cool.
Think I'll just stick to having it on the mains in the Off State, till I need to use it.
I've really only got the router that needs power.
Ja, this started happening after loadshedding last night. Annoying. Then it'd load the afrihost fibre activation link, but say no activation needed.

Looks like it's stopped now.
Its a UPS so its meant to be plugged in/charging until its needed.

Mind you a UPS is meant to be avail for short period whilst you log off or bring secondary power up. But these mini UPS's last so bloody long for the router etc lol. Perfect for eksdom.

Ive never plugged my ont/router into the mains for more than a year now. Its plugged into the Gizuu 24/7. Gizuu plugged into the mains. When power goes out, the ONT is still running. I would rather that, than have the ont router switch off for a moment, because you never know with these things

that is supposed to be how it works.

Now these batteries seems to be lithIon - stand to be corrected. should last a while. However with loadshedding for extended periods will drain the battery over time as these batteries have limited cycles.

I havent open the unit up but i would think they should be simple to replace if you notice your batteries are degrading.

Yor dude leka! Are you in Bayview? What's the setup like internally. Similar all in one ONT vibes or something else?
Thanks man.
Yes in Bayview.

There's a Huawei termination point box and then a seperate Nokia ONT that your router then plugs into.
