So the charge is after install. So if u tell them here not there before the install.... as long as its less than 30 meters u won't pay extra?

That is my understanding. Have a look on the mitchells fibre website under the faq for what’s included with the installation.

yip so it seems 15m is not a problem max is 30 m from the fibre conduit against the boundary wall to the fibre ONT , only thing they limit is trenches max 5m anything trenched beyond 5m will incur additional charges , they cant do any trenches by me so they'll need to run the pvc pipes along the carport ceiling right to the back room as per my measurement its only 15m half of their maximum lenght so im happy for that

I whatsapped larry at afrihost. Gave him my reference. He was confused coz zone 6 wasn't showing yet... But sent it to the fibre dept anyway with high prio... He said the fibre dept will do what's needed N if mf's shyte is showing on their side by Monday then I'll get next steps emails by wednesday...
lmao i ordered 03 November the following day i got my voucher and they sent it off to MF as a Manual Order , did have a hiccup " voucher already been used" issue contacted them apparently i loaded the voucher and it was successful so yeah seems like who ever did what i did (thanks to nikkels lmimp) your installation should be on MF list i guess

Hi

so has yours now changed to an Order...or still showing a Pre Order.

Got a mail from Afrihost to say they changing mine to Pre Order.. In in Zone3
I'm still on pre order... Not sure what is going on, but looks like Afrihost don't have a clue that we are live

Although Fibre is available in your area, Mitchells Fibre now needs to bring a connection point into your premises. Mitchells Fibre will contact you to arrange installation of your Fibre Line. The general turnaround time for installation with Mitchells Fibre is currently approximately 3 weeks.

What i did was used their override option and followed the steps and they did the rest and sent me a voucher and i had to signup for the prepaid portal and i selected my address as typed in my voucher number and it went through idk but somehow i may have boefed the system lmao

This sounds fishy... I got the same error...got on whatsapp and they sent new voucher.

If you logon to pre paid portal what does it show?

Afrihost are delayed so they are losing out with me now.

I had a pre order with them but nothing is happening so I ordered from SuperSonic on Saturday and Sunday someone called me to confirm and my fibre will be installed within 7-14 days. I asked the guy to escalate for this week coz I'm away for 2 weeks from beginning December and he said he will contact Mitchell's Fibre today and let me know.

Exactly yes and I was really impressed with their service, I was chatting to them on WhatsApp all weekend and was very surprised when I received a call on Sunday to confirm everything and advise of installation.

Im also doing that..but want to know what their service is like..
But I'm going to wait on Afrihost due to the 2 months free, which gives me time to cancel with Telkom and give them their 30 day notice

I do believe the problem is with MF though... they still haven't updated these zone states on their coverage.

This is most likely what the systems are basing their data on to determine whether or not these zones have fiber ready.
