I've preordered with Afrihost, but I'm not entirely sure I've received a voucher? I signed up with them, my banking details were verified and I got an order number (unless this is it). Then they told me it was changed to pre-order.
I also did a pre-order some time ago but did not receive a voucher. Did not have to confirm banking details as i am a old client

Comms my buddy had with Afrihost. Doesn't look like it will matter if Zone 4 goes live this side of the year, going to have to wait anyways.

@AfriMan - Can you confirm?

Most of the operators are implementing a freeze around that time. To my knowledge it means installations will be frozen and will only commence in the new year.

They gave a different story on Facebook yesterday, said they'll be working until after the 13th.

Some providers may stay open until later, but most providers are freezing around the 13th.

We don't usually send a voucher for pre-orders, but either way it shouldn't delay activation. We'll send the voucher in good time once we're alerted to the area going live.

I’m not installed yet. Was just curious.
First have to run conduit from the fibre point to my lounge

The installer does that for you. The 2 guys that did mine even got into my roof because I didn't want surface mounting or hot glue on my walls.

They place the router where you want it as long as its within 30 meters of the boundary. Coz that is all that's allowed in the "free" part of the install; 30 meter of pvc pipe (with connectors and horse shoes) and 30 meter of fiber cable.

If more is needed, you have to pay.

Yeah this is k*k for me cause I believe I will need more than 30 meters

As far as I’m aware they won’t lift and replace paving - I have a 30m length from the fibre point to where i need it so I’ll need to lay the conduit myself. It’s very interesting that they’ll work in the roof cos that may save me from lifting paving.
Did you tell them on the day they installed?
