Afrihost just confirmed that they will check again next week Tuesday since Mitchells Fibre said its a technical error showing the area is live...

I have been in email contact with a guy at Vuma and he mentioned no such thing. He sent my inquiry to the installations department.

We definitely do want to get as many people connected as possible. We usually have to wait for official word from the provider that an area is live, though sometimes they will inform people in the area before they go live to start getting pre-orders in as quickly as possible.

If you signed up and you are in pre-order, our team will definitely process your orders as soon as they possibly can on Mitchell's Fibre's portal.

Yes, the technician was busy here at the PoP in Gannet Rd until about 12h30 this morning, with other roads still to be done, and then testing to be completed.
He confirmed that though the civils division closes for the holidays, the installation teams will still be doing home installations throughout
