So after many attempts I was finally able to get an answer from Vumatel. I was told that the 3 areas were not added to this years financial build. That they'll be looking at additional areas next year but they firstly require 30% interest from the community. They'll be monitoring the interest up until their new financial year which begins in May 2020 and will only then provide feedback.

I cancelled my fibre order with Afrihost. AfriMan and co. are unable to fix my issue of registering via the prepaid portal. Too many false promises as well, just left a bad taste.

What other internet providers can you guys suggest?

What was the issue? I had a few as well but it was sorted... Share your experience...?

Attempting to register on the prepaid portal tells me that my email and userid were already taken. It took days for them to respond after querying. It was suggested I reset password, but the email to reset I never received. They decided to reset my password themselves. I finally got in but faced more k.@.k when capturing my address - "The premises you have selected has already been taken" After close to 2 weeks I decided to move on, it just felt like they did not care.

I have decided to with Cool Ideas instead and cancel my current Business ADSL with Afrihost.

When you enter/search your address just put in your home number and street name then hit search... your address will pop up on top of the list then select...

The exact same thing happened to me when searching my address. Somehow the prepaid portal DOES NOT WANT YOU TO ENTER YOUR ADDRESS AS YOU KNOW IT and the only way it will accept your address is when you do like I said above... Give it another go, I promise it will work

Hahaha, I know that...
  1. You type in your address, partially.
  2. It will list your full address.
  3. Click select.
  4. Boom! I get that error... "The premises you have selected has already been taken"

Take screenshots and send to Mitchellsfibre via Facebook messenger and Afrihost on Whatsapp but If you were successful with Supersonic then no worries

Uhm, I said that I reported this to Afrihost but it just too long for them to sort out - still not sorted though. And where does Supersonic come in? I've never mentioned them.

Did you report any of it to Mitchellsfibre? They quite helpful on FB Messenger,,,

Actually I did report it to MF but they said it is an issue that Afrihost need to fix.

Each to their own I guess but I can tell you that all of these providers are inundated with new applications and people having issues I think its too early to base an opinion on either, again each to their own. But from all the various ones I have dealt with the fact that Afriman and his team has a presence here and on multiple social platforms, you'd be hard-pressed to get such a variety of communication channels...

Just my 2c.

Yes I got the same message but I placed my order anyways. I think it's just a hard set notification they going with for now but the installation teams from MF will still dictate and decide when installations will take place, so if they wanna keep going through the rest of the year they will.
