Vumacam announces 6,000-camera Gauteng government partnership

Vumacam has announced a partnership with Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG) to provide the province access to its extensive camera network and advanced crime-fighting technologies.

Through the partnership, the GPG will have immediate access to an expansive network of over 6,000 cameras in Gauteng and access to partner cameras nationwide.

Excellent - bring it on.
Put some up at traffic lights and fine the bunth0les who drive through reds and fail to stop during loadshedding as well.

I can see the benefits of this, obviously, but also wonder if we'll see more sabotage of the fibre infrastructure over time, with the aim of taking down cameras in certain areas.
