Hi all

Apologies if this is in the wrong section...

I am looking for some clarity, as I have got very little thus far, although I have an idea of what should happen.

We currently live in a flat in Parkwood but are in the final stages of renovating our new house in Parkhurst. The house has an existing fibre line which the previous owners used until they emigrated to the UK. As part of the renovations, I decided to move the fibre line and end point to another part of the house, with the builder moving the fibre line. I want to get the fibre line tested to make sure it is not damaged and to have the end point reinstalled, as soon as the builder will allow based on how far he is.

Who do I contact for this? Vumatel or Cool Ideas?

Thanks
Nic

Just plug the switch in and check you get a link light on the FX port. If not you'll need to log it with Vumatel, as you don't have an ISP at this point.
I guess you could sign up with CISP in the meantime and ask them to facilitate for you... PBCool?

Thanks bud ;) On the line with Vumatel at the moment after chatting to Cool Ideas. I need to confirm with our builder when we will be able to test electrical devices properly but thought it best to get started with Vumatel as I am not sure what their availability is like.

I had an issue with vumutel. We moved into our new place but the previous tenant never cancelled their line. Meanwhile we couldn’t open a new account because it was locked. They refused to unlock it

I hope I won't have this issue, the previous owner has emigrated to the UK  I am waiting for Vumatel to get back to me regarding when they can get to the house so I will check the current status at the same time. How did you sort the issue out?

A slight hiccup, Vumatel's installers arrived this morning to re-install our fibre line, but they can't do the junction box on our outer wall. So, they lay a new fibre cable, installed the new CPE where I wanted it and told Vumatel to send a crew to install the outside junction box. So, we wait again...

Did you get sorted?

Yes, I forgot to keep this post updated, I eventually got everything sorted after numerous calls to Vumatel and some pressure from Cool Ideas to get the fibre line up and running.
