Not sure where else to ask this. I have just bought a property on a panhandle which means it has a long driveway, I guess around 50m just for driveway.

I have booked a installation from vumatel but not sure if there is a length limit on them pulling in the cable?

3 years ago when I installed Vuma in my old house, they ran it from the street up the house (2 high stories), through the roof (probably 20m) and back down on the other side of the house to the office room for free.

Probably around 40 meters in total I’d guess.

I don’t know if they’ve changed their policy but they didn’t have any issue with it.

Thanks. Is there a vumatel rep here who can provide some insight? Call centre says distance doesn't matter.

when the tech guys did my house install 2 weeks ago. They had pre crimped fibre cables. 35m and 50m (they had longer lengths too) We werent sure if they needed to use the 35 or 50m length.

Turned out the 35m was more then enough (had about 5metres of slack which they rolled up into the little grey box.

Depends on the type of fibre, multimode should be ok up to a few hundred meters I would guess

Distance does not matter. Attenuation is miniscule over those distances
