Vumatel free fibre speed upgrades are rolling out in phases

Vumatel has informed subscribers that it has decided on a phased approach for rolling out its promised fibre line speed upgrades.

The fibre network operator announced on 20 March that it would be doubling the line speeds of subscribers who are with participating Internet service providers.

Also wanting to know. They bumped up their own network, plus dishing out free data to non-subscribers even. But not a peep on participating in speed doubling anywhere

They're not obligated to give you free upgrades, the FNO has sort of jumped this on these guys.

I think they themselves can't cope and down want to own up.

Current line speed is good enough for me (and the household) to do everything we need to. So an increase is not anything essential. It would be great to get it, but whenever is just fine.

Same here. Already on 100mbps, can't say 200 would make any real difference.

Well I didn't say or insinuate that they are obliged. Which they are not.

I don't know why you think I am unhappy. I simply stated that I have an uncapped line which means free data is not applicable to me. I am not even sure what they are offering ito free data so I can't comment on it.
