Vumatel have bought the fiber backbone infrastructure from SA Digital Village. Since they have taken over the service has deteriorated to an alarming extent. It is so bad that Vumatel cannot transfer a connection from one ISP to another within a period of 7, yes 7 days. They have also, in order to keep themselves isolated from irate consumers, also discontinued their help desk call centre.
Not sure why Vumatel would want to go into a business where they obviously do not have the capability or the will to actually provide a service.
