Between Vodacom and SAA he has enough money for the R100k not to make a major dent in his wallet.

But a big thumbs up to him for paying up

Money is going to a very good cause though:
Jarana has still agreed to honour the bet and support the FMF’s Khaya Lam freehold titling programme.

The FMF decided to become directly involved in the titling process and turned to generous South Africans and philanthropists from outside South Africa for funding. The Khaya Lam Land Reform Project was set up to carry out the task. The cost of titling a modest house with an average value of R100,000 is advertised at about R6,500. The current Khaya Lam cost is R2 600 (which includes the cost of all the administration, fund raising and titling costs).

That will buy property security for 38 South Africans.

The condition for this wager was that when Jarana pays the charity, it will be from Jarana’s own money and not from public funds.

Jarana was paid with public funds...
It's not like he was broke before he joined SAA.

so, are you saying he has to work off in a private sector and then pay it off?

Ja, no, haibo, well, whatever Mr former CEO!

Dunno if I should jump with joy (a man of his word) or grin with anger (failed state entity).
