That price for some generic Golf with less power than some of its competitors?
Thanks, but I'll get a Mercedes-Benz A45s second hand and whip it all day, every day.

GTI drivers are simply wannabe-BMW drivers anyway.

You must be having daddy issues. All you can say to someone who is wealthy is " purchased by daddy" " dad's money" etc.

How's your R80k OZ wheels btw ? and those fenders? 2nd attempt at respray got the paint matching ?

I don't read reviews on cars that don't interest me. Sorry.
Why then comment here if you have no interest in it?

Golfs are neat little hatchbacks. They tick a lot of boxes. That said, a million buys you a 16/17 RS6 still under plan, for example.

I approve on the “naai” wording. There are tons of videos of the G8 R killing much more expensive machinery. It’s developing way more than it’s quoted 320 PS.

Because the article and this here thread isn't a review about the Golf R.

As much of a VW hater I seem to be, I had a Golf once upon a time - had being the operative word. It's not my cup of tea, and that's also okay. I guess I just don't get the hype.

I would rather be swayed by an RS6 as you've mentioned, or even a nice Giulietta Quadrifoglio or an M5 if I had some spare cash laying about
