Hello all,

Anyone here that has this - either bought it/used it, I'd really appreciate some sort of feedback/review...

I'm looking at using it to annotate pdf's on my laptop - and am wondering if it will be able to replicate the use of a tablet.

A friend of mine doing graphic design has a Bamboo Pad and it works fine for him with Windows.

Thanks for the reply - do you think it would be able to assist in annotating pdfs? Selecting text, and highlighting etc?

I guess what I'm asking -- does it only work in specific programmes, or is it "system" wide, as a mouse/trackpad replacement - and therefore, would in theory work in 3rd-party applications/programmes?

I dont see a problem with a mouse for your request. A wacom is more for design based work. Its not the friendliest to use to navigate your desktop

Don't want to replace the mouse, per se - or navigate with it. Really only intend using it with a PDF open inside PDFpen/DTPO/Skim/Adobe etc., and using it to annotate/highlight pdf's - similar (hopefully) to how one would in Goodreader etc. on an iPad.

Nope then. If you want a trial, go into an apple store and test it. I would say dont do it, but then again each to their own.

Shucks. Not what I was hoping for. Thanks - will do some more searching - and try and find a demo model somewhere.

My friends one, the bottom left corner means your mouse goes to the bottom left of screen, other corners on pad go to corresponding corners on the screen...

Hmm k well I just use my for digital painting in photoshop, I have to say I don't enjoy navigating my pc to much with the tablet and usually switch to back to my mouse, I am just quicker with a mouse, because well, many more years practiced.

This is what has me hopeful - but realise I won't really know until I try one. In theory, if it aligns like that - then it should be able to do what I want, on a zoomed-in (full screen) pdf.
