Want Telkom LTE Uncapped but can't get any one to phone me

So, to vent some of my frustration.

I applied for this product on last week Monday, bid was successful, got my ticket number and await the call the next day, Tuesday no one phones. Then after that I decided to call the call center almost every day, all of those useless idiots just tune me : we will take down your details and someone will phone you in 2 hours. At night the story goes : we will take down your details and tomorrow half past 8 someone will phone you. Of course no call. This is the LTE department?? Why must someone phone me back when I am speaking to them??

Really? I can understand if someone wanted to cancel a deal that they may provide some resistance, but for new business? Excuse me? How incompetent can you be? Just call me back, do the application and give me a reference number or something. Don't do f***ol, I just don't understand how Telkom wants to grow their business with employees like that.

Man, I could be hit by a taxi driver now and not feel a lot more irritated than I already do.

No one every called me back.

I had phone in and follow up every 2nd day or so. Calls are free from telkom mobile sims :p

So far I've been trying every day lol, did you come right or are you still struggling?

I did get all my goodies. Total time was 3 weeks in total to get the router and activated . 700 odd minutes was my time in total spend on the phone to them.

*whistles* good lord where did you get the patience. So basically in the end you got through to someone that could do the application for you? At what time during the day did you get through to that person and did you also phone 10213 and picked option 2 then 3 then 1?

Take ur ticket number with you and visit a telkom store.. u can sign up there for R699 a month.. it's still worth it.. u be done in an hour and will have all ur equipment with you

Correct I normally phone around 9am ,walking around with the cellphone so I can take the call as soon as somebody picks up.

yes I used 10213 same options.

The application call I was holding on for 26 min before someone took my call ,after the application was done the call time was at 1 hour 20 min lol

The longest hold time was 45 min for one of the days I followed up.

yip same story, applied on the 5th and eventually I phoned them myself yesterday and was promised that a lady (cant remember her name) will phone me back within 2 hours.. still waiting..

I have applied on the 15 of Feb and nothing still spoke to them plenty of times and they said that someone form the sales team will call me within the day, yea sure !

worst is I keep getting emails and sms from Telkom stating my current contract has expired and they want to upgrade me to another product. useless bunch I have to say..

But surely it only takes 24-48 hours according to them but you can't get anyone at Telkom who knows how the f to get it activated. It's been more than 72 hours now. 081180 tells me to phone 10213, and 10213 tells me to phone 0210017500. But none of these idiots can assist me.

same problem tomorrow will be day 3 since i received kit still not rica'd
calling 10213 every few hours

Does it really help to call them? They don't seem to know what to do it's a big problem. Can't we go into the store perhaps and get this done?

don't know. but like bugging them .

I tried taking this to Telkom's Facebook page at the beginning of the week, to no avail. Telkom Sales is a misnomer - they seem to be discouraging potential clients from giving Telkom their money. :p

This is true about Telkom. You will have to work hard to gain their interest. CEO Sipho Maseko is aware that customers hate Telkom. He claimed to care when he took the job in 2013. Something seems to have distracted him since, as there is still almost no interest in customers.

What are the correct voice menu choices when calling 081180 about not getting a response after applying for Telkom LTE Uncapped and getting a ticket number? Last time I called, I was bounced back to the voice menu after being told that I would be transferred to the correct department. Thanks.

I applied on 4 feb 2016 online for uncapped LTE.
Got an automated ticket number emailed to me congratulating me. Thats as much as I've heard from them.
Over a month and no response. I have called the 10213 number numerous times and nobody ever picks up.

All this after haggling with them to refund me my money for a cancelled adsl and voice line that never worked for 4 months. No luck with the refund either.

Also recall going into the store prior to registering online and being assured that the uncapped LTE is R599 by the salesman. Asked him a few times if it is R599 to be sure. He was adamant its R599. So went through the whole registration process in store. They said they will call me to finalise after a day or two. Get a call...We are sorry to inform you that the product you have chosen is actually R699/pm.

Happy days :)
