Are you wondering if you are being throttled for excessive usage? For those of you who have not discovered this: Log into my account on mweb.co.za and click ADSL, it should show this.

Thanks for that. Did show me something interesting, someone used my ADSL at 00:10:50, when everyone on the house was fast asleep.

We should all check daily and see when it goes over to throttled and post here... That way we can sort of work out if it's an exact gb cap or something more complex.

I'm on 46Gb for the month, on 2mb uncapped... not throttled.

I am also on 2mb, and did 23.13 GB so far and was getting worried about throttling.

Mweb THROTTLING - Share your speeds and experiences

So I just hit 80gb and now I can't even surf the net. Pages wont load and when they do load 20 minutes later, they have no pictures. Had to call in my free Afrihost gig and will now be purchasing a few gigs to get me and the family through the month.

I had no idea that throttling meant getting below 10KB/s. This totally caught me off guard. Luckily, I cancelled last month so only 15 days left.

How the hell does MWEB think their clients are gonna stand for sh*t like that? Surely throttling should only "choke" download related protocols, browsing should always stay reasonably fast even if you do get throttled.

They way I see it they're basically saying "F*** off, we don't want you on our network, but we're happy to take an additional months fee as cancellation notice."

Most if not all ISP's require a months notice before you cancel.

Not quite all. There's a few ISPs who allow you to cancel in the month (up to a specific date) and finish at month-end.
