rather go with telkom, their service lately rocks. they got an android app to report faults. or you can do it on the internet. or via sms. and they log faults instantly.

openweb is not a very nice company. no matter whats wrong, its always your router or telkoms fault. they're rude and nasty. they can do with a few customer relation courses as their customer relations sukcs big time. just read the way they reply to their customers. its awful.

they might have the best internet but i'll rather go with a company thats not always blaming someone else for their faults and a little friendlier...

I am also moving to Telkom end of the month. Their prices has dropped nicely, and after doing extensive research, I found Telkom will be the best to suit my needs.

Giving due where its due.

Good service from customer rep last night / this morning.

Depending on how it goes with plugg, customer service is one reason to consider Axxess in the future.

I initially had great service from them, until I actually objected, at which point all communication stopped. I did so in a frank but professional manner and they simply stopped responding to emails and their support number was never answered. Additionally, while it was kind of them to offer to test my line for me, they knew full well that the issue was me being managed, so I saw it as unnecessary customer service in the hope of obfuscating matters to appear that they're doing something...

That is unprofessional.

Must say I don't envy being in any customer service role with something that has so many points of failure.

Don't know why ISPs don't just tell you upfront what is going on - its not as if any of them are appreciably better than any other (like the big banks).

Anyway, good luck with Telkom - I'm giving Plugg (IS?) a try for next month.

We can compare notes later

Haven't used the account for 4 days now while trialling an OpenWeb account (which gave no hassles).

Chuck in my Axxess account details and all of a sudden I'm MANAGED once again. Seems not using the account doesn't help on their fscked up system.

Screw you, Axxess. I shall continue to bitch and moan for as long as you insist on taking my money for an additional month just to cancel a service you have hardly provided me with...

m0zy will be pleased to hear that I've moved to Openweb as of today. Axxess can have my last month's payment. The few hundred bucks won't balance the brand damage they've done to themselves...

The only special at the moment that was enticing enough for me was Standard, but I'm happy to move up to Silver and Gold depending on how things go...

See how it goes but I'm on OW Gold and download whatever whenever. I've done a good 50 GB or so in the last 2 days with my line running at a constant 400+ kb/s (4mb uncapped).

Super Edition...? :D

Yeah! Openweb and their marketing!! Mind you, they can call it whatever the fcsk they want so long as it performs.

That's the one I went with as well, but the 2mb account. So far so good...

Yeah! Early signs are promising. Always a bit reluctant to hammer these new accounts right off the bat.

Price is good though, very much entry level, think they cheaper than the Openweb Vanilla accounts but still around R70 more than the Axxess equivalent.

Just for clarity I'm keeping my Axxess account for now and actually cancelling my 2 Cybersmart 10mb uncapped accounts which have been very inconsistent since around November last year.
