Why are you downloading such a poor quality copy of Django?

damn good question. that is the first thing that I noticed as well. How about a car analogy? :p

kidding. but to download a 480p file on a line that can pull 1000kB/sec is kinda silly

:D

Got my 720p copy already. I thought a nice 800mb file would be a nice way to kick off testing the line. Nothing to heavy this early on.

Dude there is nothing to worry about, I've hammered my account from the starting gate.
Seriously, OpenWeb won't complain or throttle you. clutch hom! :D

Which package you on though?

There quite a few blends with Openweb.

Gold... but still, none of them get throttled.
You might get shaped a little more on a standard account than Gold, but that has nothing to do with the amount YOU download personally (as i'm sure you're well aware of)

Pumped the account over night, averaged around 2.5gb per hour since 12am. One 35gb bluray torrent is 60% done.

Very impressive.

You can ignore the out going traffic. That was streaming to the Mede8er.

I'm now starting to wonder whether I should rather go for a faster product on a lower tier, vs a lower speed on a higher tier.

do you use usenet at all btw? I'm interested in your usenet speeds during the day on that super account

Yeah, using Astraweb. Will test shortly...

Letting this torrent run for now, still hovering around 500KB/s. I expected this torrent to stall around 7am but it's still flying.

It's odd but ever since I bragged on here about this account is has sucked donkeys balls. It seems to permanently be managed despite conservative usage patterns given it is a 10mb account. Pretty disappointed TBH. Have queried it with the powers that be with little to no solution.

There's a reason we pay extra for GOLD.

Really only looking for 200gb-220gb a month at a comfortable daily average of around 7gb's a day with little to no shaping regardless of the time of day or protocols used. 9.40pm on a Tuesday evening, the 9th of the month, about 40gb's current usage and the account is managed and performing poorly!!!

Right now I'm using a promotional Afrihost 100gb account unshaped that costs me around R329 per month. This Axxess account is costing me R495 per month but right now is a complete donkey!!

The day is coming when 200gb's of unshaped data will be available at around R500 per month...
