Warning about Axxess Uncapped - 36 gigs is abuse...

thing is...one of the only isp's I know of where you can actually MONITOR your uncapped account, is by WebAfrica...they use "stars". You start of with 5 stars, then as you start to download TOO much, your "stars" gets less. THIS way, you can at least see what is happening. As you go LESS on the downloading....your stars picks up again....good idea i would say...

Bloody hell... 36gb and managed? MWEB's throttling makes Axxess' seem like heaven.. And after reading this article I cant see how it will be better once the Telkom upgrades have been done. :wtf:

Yes, both Axxess and Afrihost use the MTN network which is where the issue is, they don't have their own networks.

This thread is 7 months old and yes they managed people at ridiculously low usage when they just switched over to the MTN network but they've ironed out those issues.

Other than the last month or so that there's been issues on the network I hardly ever got managed averaging around 150GB/m
