the bankers could choose not to buy government debt

this has nothing to do with policy makers, but private bankers deciding to hold government bonds

and this is not just a domestic problem, its happening in other regions as well, most notably the US
 
But, but, but I thought we had a strong banking systems with all sorts of safety nets in place. Now seems the corrupt government dipped their hands into private bank funds, accounts and assets in the form of so-called "loans" and "debt"?
