I ported to Cell C from Vodacom Talk 500:)...I kept my No...all good.
Whilst on prepaid Cell C, I signed for the Straight-up 400 all fine, BUT I asked in the Canal Walk CellC Store, what about my calls and data on my now CellC sim, will I loose it?
This was to plan my min/data for the iphone5 arrival ...was told that would be carried onto new sim/package....something in the C-Walk Cell C staff member's answer didn't feel/sound right to me, so I kept things low,a bit of a nuisance, but so be it...
Good thing I did, as on the big day thinking I was going to leave the store with new iphone 5 with st-up 400 nano sim and my old no....(I did) with my old iphone 4 with my remaining min and data and a new no....
Nooo!...no sim, no new no. and lost the remaining min and data +- R150-R200 worth, not certain.
Take care and plan the move, as not all staff know the full and correct story...confirmed via Head Office ..you will loose as I did.

I kept my airtime and data bundle balances when migrating from Cell-C pre-paid to a Straight Up 100 Top Up contract.

Maybe the difference is the Top Up?

I suspect I may have been able to have my minutes credit and data transferred to a new micro sim for my iphone4...sim swap, if i had checked with them before giving the go ahead....Just glad I did not load R500 onto the sim as I had intended.
