Havent had a days problem with my cellc. Yet. I did my own application through Beam. Have my own "franchise" (meaning, I resell some of their products so have access to Beam :D)

The point he's alluding to is that problems are caused by stupid people, not necessarily poor process or a bad company.

If you read my whole article and all of my posts you will see that it hasn't been a single failure, it has been failure after failure after failure after failure... That is not a single stupid person, it's a whole congress of them.

Does that make it acceptable then? Not in my opinion. I'm perfectly happy with my VC contract, and all of my other SP accounts. If I had the same issues with them I would have made the exact same stink I am making now.
No, but your thread title should really read "Warning: This is what could happen to you if you do business with Cell C/Vodacom/MTN/Telkom/MWeb/Webafrica/Game/Makro/HiFi Corp/etc/etc/etc/etc"

This thread shouldn't have any significant influence on anybody's choice of cellphone SP.

I haven't had any hassles whatsoever with my CellC contract that I had running for years, and it took me all of 1 email to cancel it. It took me all of one 5 min phone call to change my contact details. I found their callcentre infinitely better than MTN's in terms of efficiency and call quality.

Lucky you, I'm not forcing my opinion on everybody else. I am only stating my opinion and describing the catastrophe that I've personally had in dealing with Cell C. People can take from this whatever they like to take from it.

I know you're not, but people reading this need to know about the other side of the coin also.

Personally it is my hope that people also keep in mind that no SP is exempt from occasional **** service, and deem value for money an important factor.

So you get some bad service ? Big deal the amount you save on calls and data is over 2 fold compared to vodacom and Mtn.So you can basically make more than twice the calls, sms's and data usage(this is even more than twice) compared to those sharks at MTN and Vodacom.

So you were the 1 percenter that got bad service, I do feel for you, but really Cell C is helping SO much more than it is damaging.

I cannot really complain about CellC, but then I have never had a contract. Every now and then, my prepaid SIM tells me that my airtime has been locked and is being kept "safe" so instead of getting hot under the collar, I buy R10 worth. I also had the 120Gb SIM which lasts 12 months. 2 months after it expired it is still working. Someone forgot to pull the plug. Maybe I should tell them...? No, maybe not.

That is if you can actually get a contract with them, I went to them because I wanted to open a contract but after wasting several hours of my time across several days I gave up. Since then they have just stuffed up over and over again...

I'm currently using their prepaid data which I was able to get within 5 minutes of signing up. I don't have any complaints with that, but it should have been exactly the same thing for the R49pm contract.

Went and bought a sim to test at our factory.
One of the sales reps stole R100 I put down to pay for it (I got distracted by a phone on the display shelf).

Why you put down 100 Mandelas? It costs just one Mandela, I usually give more for the parking guards, so keep bunch of coins. :-(
